Looker Studio
Reporting stakeholders actually read — live Looker Studio dashboards built around decisions.
Looker Studio is Google's free dashboarding platform: it connects to GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, BigQuery and dozens of other sources to turn raw data into live, shareable dashboards. We design reporting backwards from the decisions you need to make — choosing the few numbers that matter for each audience, blending SEO, analytics and campaign data, and scheduling delivery so the report keeps itself current.
- 01Live dashboards replace the monthly screenshot deck — reporting that updates itself.
- 02Blends SEO, analytics, Search Console and campaign data into one coherent view.
- 03Free, shareable and owned by your team — no licence cost and no vendor lock-in.
- 04Designed around the decisions leadership asks about, not whatever is easy to chart.
- 05Reads directly from a clean GA4 and BigQuery foundation, so the numbers are trustworthy.
Looker Studio is Google's free dashboarding tool, and we treat it as the reporting layer that makes everything else accountable. The platform isn't the hard part — the discipline is. A useful dashboard answers the handful of questions leadership actually asks, refreshes itself, and is owned by your team. We design reporting backwards from those decisions rather than charting whatever is easy to plot.
Dashboards built around decisions, not data
Most reporting fails the same way: a wall of charts that describe activity but answer no real question. Looker Studio connects directly to GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, BigQuery and dozens of other sources, so we can blend SEO, analytics and campaign data into one live view. The skill is editorial — choosing the three or four numbers that matter for each audience and cutting the rest.
What a Karve dashboard includes
- A clean data model — connectors and blended sources defined once, with calculated fields and channel groupings that match how your business actually thinks about performance.
- Audience-specific pages — a one-screen leadership summary, plus deeper operational views for the teams who act on the detail.
- Scheduled delivery — dashboards that email themselves on a cadence, so the monthly screenshot deck quietly disappears.
Reporting that proves the work
A dashboard only earns its place when it changes a decision. For our SEO and content work, Looker Studio is where ranking deltas, qualified organic sessions and conversions by landing page live side by side — so a client in Dubai can see at a glance whether the strategy is moving the numbers that matter. When we migrate a site, the same dashboards make the impact undeniable, as in our write-up of a Next.js migration and its ranking gains.
Where it fits in our stack
Looker Studio sits at the top of our data layer, downstream of clean measurement. It reads from GA4 and BigQuery, so the quality of the dashboard depends on the quality of the tagging beneath it. For UAE ecommerce builds — like our Geely UAE storefront — that means every campaign, product and content decision is reported against data we trust, in a view the whole team can open without asking us first.
What it does
Decision-led dashboard design
We scope reporting from the questions leadership asks, then design pages around those decisions — not around whatever charts are easiest to build.
Multi-source data blending
Connectors for GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, BigQuery and third-party platforms, blended into one consistent view with the right calculated fields.
Live SEO & marketing reporting
Ranking deltas, qualified organic traffic, conversions by landing page and campaign performance in one always-current dashboard.
Scheduled delivery & sharing
Auto-emailed reports and shareable links owned by your team, replacing the manual monthly screenshot deck for good.
Templates & governance
Reusable, documented dashboard templates so reporting stays consistent across brands, markets and teams as you scale.
About Looker Studio
When should we use Looker Studio instead of a paid BI tool like Power BI or Tableau?
Looker Studio is the right call when your reporting centres on Google sources — GA4, Search Console, Google Ads and BigQuery — and you want dashboards that are free, shareable and owned by your team. Paid tools like Power BI or Tableau make more sense once you need heavy data modelling, governed enterprise datasets or connectors to large internal systems. For most marketing and SEO reporting we find Looker Studio does the job without the licence cost or lock-in, and we'll tell you honestly if your use case has outgrown it.
How long does it take to build a dashboard, and what does it cost?
A focused dashboard — connectors set up, a leadership summary and one or two operational views — typically takes one to two weeks once we agree what questions it needs to answer. More sources, blended data and BigQuery-backed reporting extend that. Looker Studio itself is free, so you're paying for the design and data work, not a platform licence; we scope it as a fixed engagement after a short discovery call so the cost is clear up front.
Why does our reporting need a clean GA4 setup first?
A dashboard is only as good as the data feeding it — garbage in, polished garbage out. Looker Studio doesn't fix bad tagging; it makes it visible. That's why we usually start with a proper GA4 implementation so events map to your funnel and the numbers are trustworthy. If your measurement is already solid we can build straight on top of it, but if it isn't, we'll flag that before promising dashboards that look right but mislead.
Can Looker Studio handle large datasets without slowing down?
Yes, but how you connect the data matters. Pulling huge tables straight from a live source can make dashboards sluggish, so for high-volume reporting we model the data in BigQuery first and have Looker Studio read pre-aggregated tables. We also use extracts and sensible date ranges so the dashboard loads fast for the people opening it. Performance problems in Looker Studio are almost always a data-architecture issue we can design around, not a hard platform limit.
Who maintains the dashboards after launch — do we depend on you?
You own everything. The dashboards live in your Google account, the data sources are yours, and we hand over documented templates so your team can edit pages, adjust filters and add views without us. We're happy to stay on for ongoing reporting and iteration if you'd like, but that's a choice, not a dependency — nothing about the setup locks you to Karve, which is part of why we favour Looker Studio in the first place.
Can one dashboard serve multiple brands, markets or stakeholders?
It can, and for clients across the UAE and wider GCC we design exactly that. Parameter controls and filters let a single dashboard switch between brands, regions or date ranges, while audience-specific pages give leadership a one-screen summary and operational teams the detail they need. Where reporting underpins broader SEO and content strategy, that shared view keeps every market measuring success the same way.
